Serving Santa Cruz and the surrounding Monterey Bay Area since 1976.
Let’s talk about your goals and how we can bring
your vision to life with integrity, quality, and care.
Residential Design & Build – 50 years of trust, timeless craftsmanship in Santa Cruz
From updating established Santa Cruz homes to creating larger kitchens, modern bathrooms, additions, and whole-home renovations, we design each project around the home, the neighborhood, and the way our clients actually live.
With over 3,000 kitchens, baths, additions, ADUs, and whole-home renovations — and just as many happy clients — Residential Design & Build is the company you can trust to bring you through your project from start to finish with:
In 1976, Ross Rohrer, founder, set off on a journey as a Bay Area artisan with a deep passion for fine woodworking. That passion grew into Clear Oak Designs, makers of high-end woodworking and furniture.
Built on attention to detail, an artisan’s approach to design and fabrication, and unwavering integrity, Clear Oak Designs grew from its Bay Area roots into one of Silicon Valley’s most trusted firms for stunning home renovations — Residential Design & Build.
Now, Clear Oak Designs is our dedicated cabinetry division, where we design and build custom cabinets for all of our projects throughout the Bay Area and Monterey Bay region. With in-house cabinetry, we have the freedom to create exactly what your home needs, faster and with higher quality than traditional builders.
